Recently I heard a price for a painting of Grigorescu (Romanian classic master, member of the group so called "School from Barbizon" France, 1838-1907 and one of the founder of Romanian modern painting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolae_Grigorescu ) at the price of 60.000 Euro. We still have in function a communist law called aprox: law of national patrimony, and by this you can't sell abroad Romania any piece of art named by the jury of this office. I think by this, the Romanian art in general doesn't have a good representative image and quotas outside Romania. In fact, which artist are more valuable? because the price for it it's given by the financial power of each market. In this cause, Romanian and German.
